Constitutional Monarchies

Constitutional monarchy remains a very popular form of government, comprising some 17% of countries today. These include some of the richest, most democratic countries in the world. The constitutional allocation of powers may not always accurately describe their actual exercise, but the text plays a central role in ensuring that these countries are models of stability.
